Sharing the love of Christ by meeting the needs of His people
Evangelism is a big need in the Dominican Republic. Most Dominicans are Catholic but not practicing. Most know who Jesus is, but they do not know Him as their Lord and Savior.
There are many ways mission teams can be a part of proclaiming the Good News! Teams can attend church services in the area they are working. They can get to know the locals working with them (maybe even spend the lunch hour sharing testimonies). They can lead retreats, host camps (basketball, baseball, soccer, English, bible, etc), teach a sewing or hygiene class, hold a revival, or just pass out tracks and invitations to church. Team members can also just spend time with the locals in their area.
The joy of the children during Vacation Bible School was awesome! I will most definitely do this again!
